Jennifer Aniston is reacting to J.D. Vance‘s resurfaced controversial comments.
Back in 2021, the 39-year-old Ohio Senator, who is Donald Trump‘s Vice President pick, appeared on Tucker Carlson‘s Fox News show where he referred to Vice President Kamala Harris, U.S. Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg as “childless cat ladies.”
Now that his comments are making headlines again, the 55-year-old Friends actress, who has had her own IVF struggles, took to Instagram to slam Vance.
Keep reading to find out more…“I truly can’t believe this is coming from a potential VP of The United States,” Jennifer wrote on her Instagram Story along with a clip of Vance making the comments.
“All I can say is… Mr. Vance, I pray that your daughter is fortunate enough to bear children of her own one day,” Jennifer continued. “I hope she will not need to turn to IVF as a second option. Because you are trying to take that away from her, too.”
In the clip Vance says, “How does it make any sense that we’ve turned our country over to people who don’t really have a direct stake in it? We’re effectively run in this country… by a bunch of childless cat ladies who are miserable in their own lives and the choices that they’ve made and so they want to make the rest of the country miserable too.”
VP Harris is stepmother to her husband Doug Emhoff‘s two children – son Cole, 29, and daughter Ella, 25. Vance shares sons Ewan, 6, and Vivek, 4, and daughter Mirabel, 2, with wife Usha.
Back in 2023, Jennifer opened up about trying to get pregnant through IVF.
