Oh, Mary! is officially a smash hit success!
Cole Escola‘s hilarious new play about Mary Todd Lincoln broke the all-time box office record for Broadway’s Lyceum Theatre and the show is now extending its limited engagement. The play follows a miserable, suffocated Mary Todd Lincoln in the weeks leading up to Abraham Lincoln’s assassination.
Oh, Mary! grossed $1,054,998 for the week ending July 21, 2024, marking the first time that a show has ever grossed more than $1 million for a week of performances at the Lyceum.
The play was scheduled to end its limited run on September 15, but performances have been extended to November 10. Tickets are on sale now!
Of the 41 theatres on Broadway, the Lyceum is on the smaller side with 922 seats. Broadway theatres range between 597 seats and 1933 seats.
